ABOUT THESE LETTERS

Why are you doing this?

I think parents should know what they are paying for.

I think current students should hear all sides of a story.

I think faculty might be curious to learn what message was sent to students in their classrooms.

I think this might give your therapists a lot of helpful context.

I think this might free up some space in some of our souls.

💓

Over the past decade, quite a few alumni have mentioned to me in passing what they wish they could say to The Oaks.

It's 2020. This is the right time to create a place for Oaks Alumni & Parents of all lifestyles, beliefs, locations, origins, etc. to say what they need to say. Experiences were varied and personal, some were challenging or potentially harmful, while others were redemptive and nurturing. All stories are welcome and posted without requirements or criteria.

Personally, I am happy to be a conduit for the people. This is a website where graduates who learned latin, who attended the Civil War Reenactment, won 1st place at Speech Meets, put on a uniform everyday of their childhood, and worked on a senior thesis in order to graduate can share their thoughts freely.

When I attended the Oaks (Class of '09), there were no college graduates yet. We were told many things about what it would be like to be an Oaks graduate in the Real World, but there were no graduates coming back to tell us what it was like.

So here is a gift to anyone - parents, teachers, current students, pastors, investors, and alumni - who want to know what life is like after one graduates from The Oaks Classical Christian Academy.

Note

The Oaks was not involved or formally informed in any way related to this site.

All letters are from verified Oaks alumni and parents, nothing has been doctored.
